Athens County

Le-Ax Water District dba Le-Ax Water
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase one hydro evacuator/valve maintenance system to reduce the risk of injury to arms, shoulders, hands, back, knees, and neck due to pushing, pulling, bending, and repetitive motion.  The purpose of the intervention is to reduce the need for employees to manually turn valve wrenches and improve on reducing ergonomic and overexertion type injuries. Le-Ax derives its name from Lee and Alexander Townships in the western part of Athens County. It provides water services to families in the area.

Butler County

Mc Tank Transport Inc.
BWC approved $12,993.75 to purchase two tether track fall arrest systems to reduce the risk of injury to the upper and lower extremities related to slips, trips, falls from heights, and awkward postures. This intervention will improve the materials transport and maintenance processes.  MC Tank Transport Inc. is a transportation company that services the liquid bulk industry which also provides maintenance, inspections, and repair of rolling stock tank vehicles.

Clark County

Carmichael Machine Corp.
BWC approved $4,441.75 to purchase one hydraulic vehicle restrain system with automatic lights communication package to reduce the risk of injury to upper and lower extremities related to slips, trips, falls from forklift, and strike by vehicle. This intervention will improve the materials loading and unloading process.  Carmichael Machine Corp. manufactures precision-machined parts from all grades of metal for midrange production for the automotive replacement products industry.

Meva Formwork Systems Inc.
BWC approved $33,724.00 to purchase one air filtration system to reduce the risk of injury to respiratory and auditory systems related to high exposures to noise and airborne chemical particulate.  This intervention will improve the welding process.  Spring Valley Township Fire Department is a combination part-time, fulltime, and volunteer fire department that provides fire protection and emergency medical services.

Clermont County

Tate Township Trustees
BWC approved $32,748.45 to purchase one power cot with accessories and power load system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist,  arms, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Tate Township Trustees Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services to the Village of Bethel and Tate Township.

Coshocton County

Echoing Hills Village Inc.
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase 33 ceiling lifts to reduce the risk of injury to back, shoulders, and lower extremities related to repetitive motion, lifting, and awkward postures.  The intervention will improve the process of patient maneuvering and lifting.  Echoing Hills Village Inc is a not-for-profit that provides services to the disabled in 15 different facilities.

Cuyahoga County

Chalfant Sewing Fabricators Inc.
BWC approved $17,556.37 to purchase one roll slitting with a set of 3 rollers, hydraulic roll support, one loader cart, and one fork mount carpet pole attachment to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the materials loading and unloading process.  Chalfant Sewing Fabricators Inc. is a manufacturer of loading dock equipment, dock seals, dock shelters, dock levelers, and safety trailer restraints.

Village of Woodmere
BWC approved $35,467.12 to purchase one power cot and power load system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist,  arms, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Village of Woodmere Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services.

Defiance County

Delaware Township
BWC approved $33,816.50 to purchase one power cot and power load system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist,  arms, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Delaware Township Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services.

Erie County

Humanetics Innovative Solutions Inc.
BWC approved $13,232.02 to purchase five lift tables to potentially reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, neck, back, and legs related to repetition, hand force, awkward postures, vibration, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual materials handling – load. This intervention will improve the crash test dummy manufacturing process. Humanetics Innovative Solutions Inc produces a wide variety of products including regulated and non-regulated crash test dummies.

Franklin County

City of Bexley
BWC approved $5,451.08 to purchase sixty-two ballistic vest carriers and thirty-one duty-belt suspension systems to reduce the risk of injury to wrist, back, and legs related to awkward postures, contact stress, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the policing process.  The City of Bexley Police Department provides public safety services.

Franklin Township
BWC approved $27,465.75 to purchase two chest compression systems with battery chargers, batteries, two fastbacks, and one hose roller with coupling jaws and two extra coupling jaws to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient cardiovascular resuscitation and hose maintenance processes.  Franklin Township Fire Department provides services on the west side of Columbus Ohio.

BWC approved $37,650.00 to purchase one firewood processor with diesel engine, one six-way wedge attachment, and one 26foot paddle belt conveyor to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, arms, wrist, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to repetitive motions, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the logging process.  Ron Zaniewski Inc. dba Ohio Tree Care is a tree and plant care service company that also offers tree removal and firewood services.

BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase six sit-to-stand patient lifts and four patient lifts with scales to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transfer process.  AHF Ohio Inc. is a not for profit nursing care facility.

BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase one flat glass mover to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, and manual material handling.  This intervention will improve the glass moving process. Columbus Glass and Mirror Inc is involved in the architectural aluminum glass and glazing industry.

Hamilton County

BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase three conduit benders, two end strippers, two wire pullers, and four conduit tables to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to repetition, hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, and push/pull – moderate and heavy loads.  This intervention will improve the electrical installation/maintenance process. Mayers Electric Co Inc provides electrical services for the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

Janszen Discount Products Inc.
BWC approved $18,630.77 to purchase one order picker to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual materials handling – load. This intervention will improve the product stocking/retrieval process. Janszen Discount Products Inc. purchases liquidation, surplus, and salvages loads and sells them in the United States and abroad.

City of Harrison for Fire Department
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase two powered load systems and two powered cots to reduce the risk of injury related to manually lifting and loading/unloading patients into and out of emergency vehicles. This intervention will improve the process of patient handling and lifting by reducing repetitive lifting. The City of Harrison Fire Department provides services to the community.

Henry County

Ridgeville Township
BWC approved $10,252.78 to purchase one chest compression systems with battery charger, batteries, carrying case, and two life-band packs to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient cardiovascular resuscitation process.  Ridgeville Township Volunteer Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services to the residents within the township and parts of Adams, Freedom, and Napoleon Townships.

Jackson County

BWC approved $9,295.84 to purchase one order picker and one double scissor cart to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, and manual material handling – load and frequency. This intervention will improve the order picking process. Lancaster Commercial Products LLC produces hotel items such as ice buckets, wastebaskets and serving trays.

Knox County

BWC approved $8,520.73 to purchase one hydraulic chainsaw with power grip pipe clamp, hydraulic hose set, portable water supply, one replacement chain, and one concrete chain to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, neck, back, and legs related to  repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, and vibration. This intervention will improve the cutting water lines process.  The City of Mount Vernon Water and Wastewater Department maintains water and wastewater lines.

Hospice of North Central Ohio Inc.
BWC approved $1,208.67 to purchase three extra-large slide sheets, two double extra large slide sheets, and one lift table to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transfer and supplies storage processes.  Hospice of North Central Ohio Inc. provides palliative and hospice care to terminally ill patients.

Lake County

BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase two programmable robotic soldering arms with tips to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, and neck related to hand force pinch and awkward postures. This intervention will improve the soldering process.  TT Electronics Integrated Mfg. Svs. Inc. manufactures and services electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in various industries, defense, aerospace, and medical applications.

Logan County

City of Bellefontaine
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase one power cot with accessories, one power load system, and one chest compression system with soft stretcher  to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist,  arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport and cardiovascular resuscitation processes.  The City of Bellefontaine Fire and EMS Department operates from a single station providing services to the Bellefontaine community.

Lucas County

BWC approved $ 21,216.56 to purchase two auto-tarping systems to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual material handling – load. This intervention will improve semi-trailer tarping/untarping process. Bunting Bearings LLC manufactures continuous cast and centrifugally cast bronze bars, powered metal bearing, components, and permanent mold parts.

Mahoning County

Cardinal Joint Fire District
BWC approved $34,848.38 to purchase one power cot and one power load to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Cardinal Joint Fire District is an all-hazards fire department providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.

Mercer County

BWC approved $23,796.25 to purchase one power cot and power load system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist,  arms, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  City of Moraine Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical.

Paulding County

BWC approved $33,389.94 to purchase one power cot with accessories and power load system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist,  arms, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Payne Village Fire Department provides firefighter/EMT services to Benton and Harrison Townships and the Village of Payne.

Preble County
