BWC approved $4,803.75 to purchase two material lifts to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the ductwork installation process.  R A Flynn & Son Inc. is a family owned business providing heating, ventilation, and HVAC solutions to residential and commercial customers.

Brown County

Mount Orab Village
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase two power cots with accessories and one power load to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  The Village of Mount Orab Fire Department provides fire and emergency medical services.

Butler County

Barrett Paving Materials Inc.
BWC approved $23,784.81 to purchase two barrel movers to potentially reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, neck, back, and legs related to repetition, hand force, awkward postures, vibration, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual materials handling – load. This intervention will improve the road paving process. Barrett Paving Materials Inc is a road and infrastructure builder.

Clark County

Benjamin Steel Co Inc.
BWC approved $33,577.56 to purchase four jib cranes and four crane hoists to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual material handling – load and frequency. This intervention will improve steel processing/delivery process. Benjamin Steel Co Inc is a steel service center that processes and delivers steel to customers, such as fabrication shops.

Coshocton County

City of Coshocton
BWC approved $35,886.00 to purchase one overhead crane system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the vehicle repair and maintenance process.  The City of Coshocton Public Works Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 65 miles of city roads and four municipal cemeteries.

Cuyahoga County

Fairview Park Schools
BWC approved $15,017.65 to purchase, one tugger, one ramp, one stacker, one hydraulic elevating cart, one lift mover, and one portable desk mover to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate load, and manual material handling – load and frequency. This intervention will improve the delivery handling, equipment repair, and lifting/moving of school property. Fairview Park Schools is a K-12 school system.

Cuyahoga County
BWC approved $33,431.35 to purchase seven manhole cover lifters with swing arms to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, vibration, push/pull moderate load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the manhole inspection process.  Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works contracts sewer maintenance with 35 cities including inspection and filming of sewer lines.

BWC approved $24,360.75 to purchase one mist collection system with ventilation to reduce the risk of injury to the respiratory system, eyes, and dermis, upper and lower extremities related to exposure to metal working fluids. This intervention will improve the grinding process.  Jergens Inc. manufactures metal workholding, lifting devices, and kwik-lok pins and ancillary products.

Defiance County

Keller Packaging of Napoleon Inc.
BWC approved $4,912.50 to purchase one 4’ film roll handler and one 7’ film roll handler to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate and heavy load, and manual material handling – load. This intervention will improve the wrapping/packaging process. Keller Packaging is a warehousing and co-pack business.

Erie County

JBT Foodtech
BWC approved $8,463.00 to purchase two truck restraints to reduce the risk of injury to the upper and lower extremities related to falls from elevated heights.  This intervention will improve the loading/unloading process.  JBT Foodtech manufactures food processing equipment such as ovens, freezers, fryers, batter/bread, and portioners.

Fairfield County

Greenfield Township
BWC approved $37,184.73 to purchase one power cot with accessories, one power load, and one patient transport stair-chair to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  The Greenfield Township Fire Department provides emergency services.

Geauga County

Sajar Plastics LLC
BWC approved $17,352.00 to twelve paint gun systems, twelve hydraulic lift table, twelve surface top turn tables, and one 12V powered tilting pallet and container product transporter to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, elbows, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the painting, finishing, and packing processes.  Sajar Plastics is a gas assisted injection molding company that specializes in custom plastic molding products.

Pike Township
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase one power cot with accessories, one power load, and one chest compression system to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport and cardiovascular resuscitation processes.  Pike Township Fire and EMS is a volunteer/part-time paid department that provides fire protection, full, basic, and advanced life support transport ambulance services.

BWC approved $4,650.00 to purchase two electric cable systems for tarping systems to reduce the risk of injury to wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to awkward postures and push/pull heavy load. This intervention will improve the truck tarping process.  The Arms Trucking Co. specializes in bulk materials transportation.

Hamilton County

Sycamore Community Schools
BWC approved $6,135.00 to purchase one portable pool lift for the disabled to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull – moderate and heavy loads, and manual materials handling – load.  This intervention will improve the process of placing and retrieving the disabled into/from the pool.  Sycamore Community Schools is a K-12 school system.

This intervention will improve the loading and banding process.  Yoder Lumber Co. Inc. is a multi-faceted lumber processing facility.

Jackson County

Buckeye Community Services Inc.
BWC approved $34,801.75 to purchase five sit-to-stand lifts, one wall lift, and one hydraulic lift to potentially reduce the risk of injury to back, shoulders, and lower extremities related to repetitive motion, lifting, and awkward postures.  The intervention will improve the process of patient maneuvering, and lifting, including into and out of a van.  Buckeye Community Services is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides residential, day habilitation and employment services for people with developmental disabilities.

Licking County

Karst & Sons Masonry Inc.
BWC approved $39,928.95 to purchase one mast climbing work platform system to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward  postures, contact stress, and manual materials handling, load and frequency. This intervention will improve the bricklaying process. Karst & Sons Masonry Inc is a mason subcontractor that constructs buildings of concrete block, brick and/or stone.

Quality Yard and Home Maintenance
BWC approved $36,450.00 to purchase one firewood processor with six-way and four-way splitter attachments, hydro-elevator, and slide table to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, elbows, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, vibration, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the logging process.  Quality Yard and Home Maintenance is a full service lawn care and landscaping company.

Mahoning County

BWC approved $21,320.50 to purchase five self-leveling U-boat carts, one power ramp dock leveler, one edge of dock leveler, one lift gate, one light duty motorized stair climbing hand truck, and one rough terrain cart to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, arms, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, push/pull heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the materials handling process.  Rhiel Supply Company is a retailer and distributor of janitorial cleaning and maintenance supplies.

Mercer County

BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase one hydraulic boom, one hydraulic jack with water recirculation kit, and one excavation system to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, push/pull heavy load, manual materials handling, electrocution, and explosion. This intervention will improve the process of maintaining utility lines.  The Village of Fort Recovery Street and Water Departments are responsible for street construction, reconstruction, and repair projects.

Portage County

BWC approved $830.12 to purchase one drum carrier to reduce the risk of injury to hands, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the materials handling process.  Kent Display Inc. is a world leader of research, development, and manufacture of liquid crystal displays (LCD) for sustainable applications.

WVFD Joint Fire District
BWC approved $39,770.69 to purchase one power cot with accessories, one power load, and two patient transport stair-chair to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  WVFD Joint Fire District provides emergency rescue services to the residents of Windham Village and Township.

Community EMS District
BWC approved $40,000.00 to purchase two powered load systems, two powered cots, two compatibility kits, and other accessories to reduce the risk of injury related to manually lifting and loading/unloading patients into and out of emergency vehicles. This intervention will improve the process of patient handling and lifting by reducing repetitive lifting. Community EMS District provides emergency services to the Village of Garrettsville and the Townships of Freedom and Nelson.

Putnam County

Unarco Material Handling Inc.
BWC approved $25,197.00 to purchase eight self-leveling lift tables, four post lift tables, one straddle tilter lift table, and one lift table to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the materials handling process.  Unarco Materials Handling Inc. manufactures steel rack systems for warehousing as well as agricultural products.

Seneca County

Bloom Township
BWC approved $19,231.62 to purchase one powered load system for an existing powered cot and one compatibility kit to reduce the risk of injury related to manually lifting and loading/unloading patients into and out of emergency vehicles. This intervention will improve the process of patient handling and lifting by reducing repetitive lifting. Bloom Township provides a volunteer based fire department that services residents of the township in Seneca County.

Shelby County

BWC approved $5,632.50 to purchase one scissor lift table to reduce the risk of injury to the hands, fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward  postures, contact stress, and push/pull – moderate load. This intervention will improve the metal manufacturing process. Everyday Technologies Inc. fabricates steel, aluminum and stainless steel to meet their costumers’ specifications.

Stark County

BWC approved $27,525.23 to purchase three dock levelers, three lift tables, one drum handler, one acid filling station with track, trolley and tool balancer, one emergency acid shut-off system, and one remote ground level filling system to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, head, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, chemical burns, slips, trips, and falls. This intervention will improve the materials handling process.  Damon Industries Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of cleaning and sanitation chemicals and supplies.

Lawrence Township
BWC approved $11,258.02 to purchase one post driver with U channel drive kit, one set of pallet forks, one lift gate, and one 800 pound capacity electric crane to reduce the risk of injury to fingers, hands, wrist, elbows, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to repetitive motion, hand force, awkward postures, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the sign installation and culvert cleaning processes.  Lawrence Township Road Department provides maintenance of roads, right-of-ways, ditches, culverts, and signage for township roads.

This intervention will improve the water heater/conditioner replacement process. A to Z Plumbing and Drain Service LLC provides plumbing service, which includes drain cleaning, rough-in plumbing, water tanks/conditioners, gas repair, and more.

Tuscarawas County

BWC approved $32,879.65 to purchase one powered load system and one powered cot to reduce the risk of injury related to manually lifting and loading/unloading patients into and out of emergency vehicles. This intervention will improve the process of patient handling and lifting by reducing repetitive lifting. Mineral-Sandy Ambulance provides emergency services to the residents of the Village of Mineral City and Sandy Township East.

Washington County

Muskingum Township
BWC approved $34,958.77 to purchase one power cot with accessories, and one power load with mass casualty floor mount  to reduce the risk of injury to hands, wrist, arms, shoulder, neck, back, and legs related to hand force, awkward postures, contact stress, push/pull moderate to heavy load, and manual materials handling. This intervention will improve the patient transport process.  Muskingum Township fire department, formally known as Oak Grove Fire Department, is a volunteer department that provides fire protection and emergency medical services.

Wood County
